Teignmouth - Devon seaside holiday resort.Teignmouth retains much of its Victorian seaside resort charm and a real pleasure for young and old is to stroll along the prom. There are amusements on the Grand Pier and children's donkey rides on the sands. Teignmouth is well known for its fine floral displays and public gardens. The historic old port is constantly alive with working boats and pleasure craft, and a range of watersports to be found too. The sheltered beach on the estuary offers lazing in the sun, swimming and fishing. There are more lovely beaches closeby at Maidencombe and Shaldon, and the entire area is enveloped in gorgeous Devon countryside to enjoy. |
